Firm principal Alan Tannenbaum was featured in a recent NBC News2 article about HD Custom Homes, the Port Charlotte-based homebuilder that abruptly went out of business late last year, abandoning customers mid-construction. Tannenbaum represents nine customers seeking compensation from the Florida Construction Industry Recovery Fund. Part of the recovery process involves attempting to secure a judgment against the defaulting contractor. To that end, Tannenbaum has filed an involuntary petition to try to force the builder into bankruptcy.
